Structure of the Guild

Bottom line up front:

  • We ARE NOT a biker club.
  • We ARE NOT an MC.
  • We ARE NOT an MCC.
  • We ARE NOT a 1% club.
  • We DO NOT ride motorbikes (although we do love a mountain bike…)
  • We DO NOT have any association with any MC or MCC.

But…

  • We ARE a brotherhood.
  • We ARE committed to the cause.
  • We DO look out for each other.
  • We DO provide a place for lost souls.

…and most importantly:

WE ARE NEVER ALONE.

Why do we look like a biker club?

Well, that’s everything to do with men’s mental health and the stigma that surrounds it. We want to prove that even in something as ‘macho’ as a biker club, we can still talk about mental health and be there for one another.

There is a symbolic element to this as well. Biker club’s have a strong, brotherly bond, and so do we. We are always there for each other. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from, you don’t need to be a fully badged member to be part of the guild. We will help anyone. That is our commitment. That is our promise.

Our ethos is and always will be:

Strong men stand together. Brave men speak up.

Why the hierarchy?

We operate a rank structure only for our fully patched members.

While absolutely anyone is free and welcome to support us and come along to any of our events, we expect certain levels of commitment from our fully patched members. Whilst all of our patched members are volunteers, they are only admitted as members after proving themselves through their contributions towards the guild, our events, our supporters, and our ethos of improving men’s mental wellbeing. We want our members to wear their patch with pride and to be fully committed to the cause. This is why we operate a loosely hierarchical structure, so that members feel part of something bigger. We want our members to have goals, to progress within the Guild, and to feel fulfilled through ambition and responsibility.

To reiterate, anyone can be a part of the Guild, but to want to be a fully patched member is a commitment. We will accept anyone, as long as they accept us, and prove they really want to make a difference to men’s mental health.

Can I join?

Anyone can be a part of the guild. We accept help from absolutely anyone and we are committed to helping absolutely anyone too.

If you want to wear the official guild badge and become a fully patched member, then all we ask is that you show your commitment to men’s mental health and the guild through a variety of actions:

  • Getting involved in charity events
  • Helping support key guild functions (website, socials etc)
  • Spread the word / marketing
  • Making regular donations / sponsorship
  • Any other ideas you wish to present (we’re always open to new ideas!)

Please feel free to get in touch, or if you have any questions, please reach out and we’d be more than happy to chat through the process.

The Guild Oath

Anyone seeking to become a member must swear the guild oath which embodies the essence and foundation of the Guardians Guild:

I stand before my brothers

Not as a lone rider

But part of a pack

I pledge my voice to the silence

My strength to the struggle

And my heart to the healing.

I will raise awareness

Where there is ignorance,

Extend a hand where there is isolation

And fight stigma

With every mile we walk together.

I vow to never leave a brother behind.

In darkness, in doubt, or in despair.

We ride together, even if we walk.

For the cause, the crew, for the courage it takes to speak.

I am a guardian.

I am the storm behind the calm.

And I will never back down.
